    Discord within the Body?

Brethren, I have been reading 1 Corinthians about this and I need some help.

There are two brothers who insist on running their mouths and even to new Christian men (week old/1.5 years in Christ).
In a men's meeting (of which I was on vacation), two men insisted that I preach to much on salvation/baptism (of which the past three weeks we have had three put Christ on).
One of the men told me today, that if I did not explain baptism, and the one true church/foundation he would not be a Christian because he never understood it. He was baptized two weeks ago this past Monday.

Some of their views are out there as they lean on tradition/internet/that's the way I was brought up. It's kind of like "I want it this way etc".

Well not to go into it further, but I would like some guidance and if you have any sermons on keeping there mouths shut etc.

I did tell the men (when something was mentioned at a meeting about this) that I will not change the gospel for them or anyone, I have to keep true to GOD and His church.

I guess I could preach on 1 Corinthians etc, the church, and how it fits us today.

Please don't take offense as I am not trying to air out dirty laundry, just trying to figure out the best way to be an example and to preach in love so as I do not offend.

    In Christ,
    Jim

    Jim,

Bro. Wayne Jackson wrote concerning the subject of baptism in the latest Christian Courier. See www.christiancourier.com and scroll down through the subjects.

    Hope this will help

If I were in your shoes. I would look like it as a set of justice scales. You on 1 side and them on the other and God in the middle. I would always make sure my side was up above theirs or at the most never below equal to them when the Lord weighed it out. You can do this by applying this to everything you do concerning it. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You do this and you will always come out on top no matter what you do.

Thank you, one of the men who use to preach, invited one of the men who is running their mouth to have lunch, as the person who use to preach was receiving emails to the effect mentioned in my post. He also taught Sunday morning bible class (his usual class for this quarter) and he is in the book of Romans, so happens he is in chapter 14. Needless to say the man's actions will be discussed during lunch, and he will be told to keep his mouth shut. I'm sure it will all work out and thanks for the prayers.

P.S. All the other men say keep on preaching. A~Men.

I agree; keep preaching the gospel; not what man wants to hear.

Agreed, as I told the congregation Sunday that I have to preach what is written and nothing short of that.

Thanks for the prayers but there are still instruction to be done and two of those men won't like what they hear from two other brothers/the rest of the men who stand behind the Gospel and not what we want.

The congregation is a true family of God, and they refuse to hear tradition/false teaching. Only what God wants, I'm blessed here.
