Matthew, Chapter 7, 13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Matthew, Chapter 7, 14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Jesus is in Heaven. Jesus is not the GATE. You have to follow Jesus down the same path he went to which has a GATE.

Where is it located?

Are children of the devil and children of God, brothers and sisters to each other? I would like to read as to what the experts of the word of God have to say pertaining to this subject.

1 John, Chapter 3
7:Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8:He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9:Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10:In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

hey guys . there is language in the bible that looks an awful lot like the lords supper is for a continual forgiveness of sins. i realize that we do not teach this.
i was just going to see if you guys could throw up some scripture to educate me in this. i have only seen 2 scriptures on this, one is matt chapter 26:27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new[c] covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

luke 22:20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

1 corr 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.

ah ! here it is ....."Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:53-54

i thought there was another one in the letters somewhere but i could not find it. seems like it was paul talking about a continuing crucifixion and our communion with jesus or some such. the thinking was that plan of salvation (baptism ) for forgiveness of past sins and lords supper and prayer for continuing forgiveness. i realize this is prob not the case but just wanted to see more about it. thanks, dave
